David Walker has the distinction of being the only two-time All-American golfer at Franklin & Marshall. He was a member of a program that enjoyed outstanding success from 1984-88, including capturing the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) titles in 1985, 1986 and 1987 and appearing in the post-season NCAA Championships. Walker was a four-time recipient of the Houston Alumni Club Award in recognition for being the programs’ Most Valuable Player all four seasons. He was the number one player and Captain of the team his junior and senior years.
Dave Walker remains to this day as the sole Franklin & Marshall golfer to be honored as a multiple All-American selection. He was an individual champion in the MAC tournament and his four appearances in the NCAA‘s and four Team-MVP awards will be difficult to surpass.
After graduation from Franklin & Marshall, Walker earned his Master’s Degree in Finance from Indiana University. He initially worked as a CPA for Coopers & Lybrand focusing on healthcare and higher education. Walker presently serves as a V.P for Finance and Planning at Messiah College in Mechanicsburg. He still enjoys competitive golf and participates in local and regional tournaments. He lives in the Carlisle area along with his wife, Lisa, and their three children, Cameron, Jacob and Katherine.
