Graham Side joined the Franklin & Marshall cross country program as an assistant coach before the start of the 2019 season. 

A former schoolteacher from the United Kingdom, Side earned his teaching credentials with majors in Physical Education and Biology at the University of London. He later returned there to earn a Bachelor’s degree, majoring in Education and Kinesiology. 

As a student, Coach Graham was an elite athlete. He established UK age records at both 800-meters and the mile and won the English School's 1500-meter championship as a junior and was one of the youngest members of the UK Junior Middle-Distance selection pool. Side also represented the British AAA domestically and the ESAA internationally,  and he was a member of the winning team in the British Colleges Cross Country Championships two years in a row.

He joins the F&M staff as a USATF certified Level 1 Track and Field Coach and Cross-Country Specialist with a lifelong passion for running and coaching. For his day job, Side is a Business & Executive Coach working with executives and business owners throughout south-central Pennsylvania to improve their personal and business' performance.
