GETTYSBURG, Pa. -With two runners in the top 25, Franklin & Marshall's women finished sixth among the ten competing teams at the 2009 Centennial Conference Championships. The finish is a three-spot jump in the standings from a year ago.
Amy Jordan raced to a 24:41.93 for 22nd place, while Emily Wilson posted a 24:49.07 for 25th to record F&M's top finishes. Haverford's Emily Lipman clocked a 22:40.6 to win the individual medal. Three of Johns Hopkins' runners finished in succession behind Lipman, leading the Blue Jays to the team championship.
F&M's Kelly Farrelly was the third Diplomat to cross. She logged a 25:35.43. Alexis Teevins and Jenna Bush rounded the Diplomats' top five. Teevins finished in 45th place at 25:46.58. Bush was 48th at 26:02.95.
The Diplomats are idle until the NCAA regional in two weeks.
