LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Barbara Kapustin was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Week for volleyball, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor is the first in the senior's career and marks the second-straight week a Diplomat earned the accolade.
Kapustin (West Nyack, N.Y. / Clarkstown) recorded a career-high 22 kills on Wednesday to help F&M defeat Swarthmore for the first time since 2013 as part of a 4-0 week. The senior also notched six digs, one solo block, and one block assist in the 3-2 comeback victory. Over the weekend, Kapustin tallied 20 kills and three block assists in three games to help F&M stay undefeated in its Scramble Tournament.
The Diplomats hit the road to resume Centennial Conference action against McDaniel on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 7:00 p.m.
