LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Ellie Ezekiel was named to the 2016 ECAC Division III South Women's Volleyball All-Star Team, earning second team honors. The award marks the first time Ezekiel was recognized by the conference.
Ezekiel (Chadds Ford, Pa. / Garnet Valley) added a second postseason award after being named to the All-Centennial Conference (CC) First Team earlier this month. The senior finished her time in Lancaster with a season that saw her log the most kills in the CC with 340, while adding a 3.62 kills per set average that ranked second in the conference.
She became just the 10th player in program history to reach 1,000 kills and the the 17th player to reach 1,000 digs, making her one of just six to achieve both. She graduates fourth in program history in total kills (1,294), sixth in career kills per set average (3.20), and is one of two Diplomats players ever to record 1,000 kills, 1,000 digs, 100 aces, and 100 blocks.
The Diplomats finished a strong 2016 campaign with a 19-9 record, appearing in the conference tournament for the ninth straight year.
