Series History: Franklin & Marshall begins Centennial Conference (CC) competition by hosting Muhlenberg in the 27th contest between the teams, with the Diplomats holding a 23-3 advantage in the previous 26 meetings. Last season, Muhlenberg won the regular season contest on Sept. 17, but it was F&M that came out victorious when the squads met again in the CC Final on Nov. 9. This year's edition will take place on Wednesday, beginning at 7:00 p.m in the Mayser Center.

CC play continues on Saturday when the Diplomats travel to Ursinus for an 11:00 a.m. battle with the Bears. F&M holds a 40-2 all-time advantage and has won 30 straight against Ursinus, the longest active win streak for the Diplomats against any opponent.

The Diplomats finish off Saturday's doubleheader by facing Arcadia in non-conference action at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, hosted by Ursinus. The meeting is the first between the schools.

Last Week: F&M traveled to Atlanta, Ga. to play in the Emory National Invitational. The Diplomats opened the tournament on Friday morning, falling 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-18) to No. 2 Calvin.

The stiff challenges continued that afternoon when F&M took on No. 1 Emory. The Eagles came out on top 3-1 (25-19, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17), but a third-set victory featuring a .452 team hitting percentage was a bright spot for the Diplomats. Ellie Ezekiel earned 13 kills in the match, and was aided by 12 from Barbara Kapustin.

Saturday morning F&M squared off with Wheaton (Ill.) in the third match of the tournament. The Diplomats claimed a commanding 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-15) victory over the Thunder, hitting .307 as a team while getting 14 kills from Ezekiel and 34 assists from Allison Edelstein.

F&M again faced tough competition on Saturday afternoon, facing No. 10 Claremont in the fourth and final match of the tournament. The Diplomats responded well after the Athenas took the first set, using a late 5-0 run to win the second, 25-20.

Claremont won the third and fourth sets to take the match. Kapustin tied a career high with 13 kills, and Parys Zambas pulled out 16 digs for F&M.

In the Rankings: Edelstein remains in second place in the CC for assists per set at 8.88. She trails only Washington's Taylor Horan (9.11).

Kelsey Michenko's .336 hitting percentage is good for fifth in the conference, while Ezekiel's .45 aces per set is tied for fifth in the Centennial.

Milestone Watch: In the midst of her 13th season leading the Diplomats Mary Kate Boland has reached 240 victories for her career. She is now 10 wins short of the 250-win plateau and 11 short of tying Steve Coulson for the all-time wins record at F&M with 251.
