Series History: F&M enters play this week with lengthy win streaks over both upcoming opponents. Widener hasn't beaten the Diplomats since Sept. 7, 1991, while Centennial Conference (CC) foe Bryn Mawr is winless in the last 22 matchups. The Owls previous victory in the series occurred way back on Sept. 9, 1989.
The last time F&M and the Pride met was on Oct. 12, 2009 when the Diplomats rolled to a 3-0 win as part of a trimatch in Center Valley, Pa.
In their previous meeting with Bryn Mawr the Diplomats picked up a 3-1 win on the road last Sept. 29th. As a team, F&M tallied 48 kills and 58 digs on the match. The Diplomats were strong from the serve position, registering nine aces on the day.
Last Week: With a 3-1 triumph over Ursinus on Saturday afternoon to open Centennial Conference (CC) play, F&M volleyball coach Mary Kate Boland captured the 200th win of her career. The Diplomats continued their strong start to the season improving to 11-1, 1-0 CC on the year, while the Bears fell to 5-6, 0-2 CC.
Julie Harvey delivered a noteworthy performance in front of the net, registering 17 kills and a .412 hitting percentage. The junior middle hitter tacked on three digs and three blocks on the day. Ellie Ezekiel tallied 12 kills to go along with nine digs. Caroline Hubbard collected a season-high 45 assists while Alyssa Sanchez led the team with 20 digs.

Where They Rank: The Diplomats stand among the best in the country in a number of statistical categories. F&M currently ranks 22nd with a kills per set average of 13.19, while placing 33rd in assists per set with 11.81. The Diplomats have also been solid from the serve position, with a 2.67 aces per set average, good for 41st in Division III.
CC Top Five: Julie Harvey has kicked off the 2013 season continuing the stellar level of play that earned her two-straight All-CC nods, ranking in the top five in multiple statistical categories for the conference. The junior middle hitter places third in both hitting percentage (.342) and blocks per set (0.97). Caroline Hubbard, the team's primary setter, has also been among the best in the CC, ranking second in assists per set with 9.43.
200: After taking down Ursinus 3-1 last week, head coach Mary Kate Boland reached the 200th win of her storied coaching career. The 11th year coach sits second on the all-time wins list at F&M, trailing only Steven Coulson who racked up 251 victories over a span of 12 seasons.
