LANCASTER, Pa.—Franklin & Marshall freshman Julie Harvey was named Centennial Conference (CC) Volleyball Player of the Week, announced Tuesday. This is the first CC weekly honor for Harvey and the first for the Diplomats since Pam Horner received the honor on November 8, 2010.
Harvey led the Diplomats to a 5-0 record last week, including CC wins over Bryn Mawr and Swarthmore, and victories against Ithaca, Marywood, and Frostburg State in the F&M Scramble. She recorded a .406 hitting percentage, and tallied 72 kills, 16 digs, 15 blocks, and four service aces for the week. Against Swarthmore on Wednesday, Harvey dominated with 27 kills and just three errors on 49 attempts, for a hitting percentage of .490. She was also named MVP of the F&M Scramble.
F&M is riding a seven match winning streak, and will return to action tomorrow with a CC match at Johns Hopkins at 7 p.m.
