LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's track and field team opens its indoor season hosting the Diplomat Open this Saturday. The Diplomats look to improve on sixth-place finishes at both the Indoor and Outdoor Centennial Conference (CC) Championships a year ago, bringing home five medals in the winter and six in the spring.

The Diplomats lost a six-member senior class to graduation, including school record-holder and Conference Champion Alyssa Ward '18, but eight first-years join the ranks of a core group of returners.
Athletes to Watch
Lindsey Powers – Sr.
Kaitlin Muccio – Sr.
Rachel Wylie – Jr.
Emma Frazier – So.
Powers returns for her senior campaign after notching her first medal at last year's outdoor championships with a second-place finish in the shotput.
Wylie and Muccio return as the only members of the record-setting 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams from last season. Plagued by injury last season, Wylie was unable to compete in the hurdle events in the spring and looks to get back to the NCAA Championships after qualifying during her first-year campaign.
Frazier delivered a dominant rookie season, leading the Diplomats' distance group and leading off the 4x800 relay team that set the program mark with a 9:53.84 finish at last year's ECACs on March 2.
