Crawley Secures Gold in 1500

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Sheena Crawley captured the sixth gold medal of her outdoor career with a first-place finish in the 1500 meters to highlight the Franklin & Marshall women's track & field team's performance on the final day of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships on Sunday at Ursinus. The Diplomats tallied a total of 57 team points to claim seventh in the 10-team field.

Crawley added to her long list of conference track accomplishments with a gold-medal finish in the 1500. The senior outlasted Annie Monagle of Johns Hopkins by just over a second with a meet-record time of 4:28.10 to grab top honors in the event for the third straight year. Crawley also took sixth in the 400 meters at 59.87.

Livia Meneghin record a fourth-place mark in the shot put with a throw of 38'-04.25" to add five points to the Diplomats' total, while Morgan Gray placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 35'-00.25".

The Diplomats added a pair of top-five placings in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays. The 4x100 squad of Olivia Bendit, Samantha Greenberg, Sylvia Zohrabian, and Alexandra Hawkins took fourth with a time of 50.65, while the 4x400 squad of Bendit, Zohrabian, Crawley, and Ariel Lefkovits finished fifth at 4:02.35.

Bendit also claimed eighth in the 200-meter dash at 27.14.
