F&M Cruises Past Owls

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall women's tennis continued their strong start to Centennial Conference (CC) play with a 7-2 triumph of Bryn Mawr on Saturday. 

The road victory improved the Diplomats' record to 5-4, 3-1 CC while the Owls dipped to 7-8, 1-4 CC. 

By the Numbers

F&M held a 2-1 edge after doubles play with the No. 2 duo of Emma Wu and Lauren Wang and the No. 3 team of Alex D'Angelo and Marissa Witmer each capturing 8-1 victories. 

Singles competition saw the Diplomats earn four straight-set sweeps, including Witmer's 6-0, 6-0 blanking at No. 6.

Saturday's win marked the seventh consecutive over the Owls and improved the Diplomats all-time mark in the series to 24-1.
