Diplomats Upend the Bears in CC Opener

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's tennis team got off to a strong start in Centennial Conference (CC) play with a 6-3 win over Ursinus on Thursday in Collegeville. 

The Diplomats improved to 3-3, 1-0 CC on the year while the Bears fell to 4-5, 0-1 CC.

By the Numbers 

F&M captured the early advantage with a 2-1 edge following doubles play. The No. 1 duo of Allison Wolters and Gavriel Rubenstein was particularly dominant with an 8-1 victory. 

Lauren Wang secured the match-clinching win at No. 4 with her straight-set decision as the Diplomats took four out of six singles competitions.

In the series, F&M has now won seven consecutive contests dating back to 2011 and hold a commanding 39-6 all-time lead.
