Diplomats Fall to Red Devils in CC First Round

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall hosted Dickinson on Tuesday in the first round of the Centennial Conference (CC) Women's Tennis Tournament, falling 5-3 to the Red Devils. The loss concludes the Diplomats' season, giving them a record of 9-11 on the year, while Dickinson improved to 10-5.

By the Numbers

Dickinson jumped out with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. Gavriel Rubenstein and Allysan Breece took a 9-7 decision at No. 3, but the Diplomats were down 2-1 after doubles action.

F&M surged ahead by taking the first two singles matches. Rubenstein earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5 before Nicole Russo tallied a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1. However, the Red Devils took the next four matches, taking a 5-3 victory as the match was played to decision.
