Women’s Tennis Picks up First Win

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Franklin & Marshall’s women’s tennis team shutout McDaniel 9-0 in the Centennial Conference (CC) opener for both teams. The win was the Diplomats (1-5, 1-0 CC) first of the season.

The Green Terror (0-3, 0-1 CC) offered little resistance, winning less than two games per match. No. 2 Kelsey Tylus improved her record to a team-best 4-2 with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Brittany Starlings. Dana Russo didn’t allow a single game in her 6-0, 6-0 win over Jamie Latham at No. 3.
No. 1 Erica Wood recorded her first dual meet win of the season with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Emily Taylor.

The Diplomats return to action on Saturday at Haverford. The Centennial match is set for a noon start.
