Season in Review: 2017-18 F&M Women’s Swimming

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's swimming team closed out the 2017-18 season with a fourth-place finish at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships, hosted by the Diplomats from Feb. 22-25.

The Diplomats opened the season by splitting a tri-meet against York and Messiah with top finishes from Leah Williamson '20 in the Butterfly events and Grace Pereles '19 in distance Freestyle leading the way.

F&M closed out the 2017 calendar year hosting its annual invite Nov. 17-19, where the Diplomats took fifth out of 13 teams. Kellen McDonald '18 delivered top individual finishes while the 400-yard Medley Relay team of Janashree Jonnalagadda '21, Michelle Wall '18, Williamson, and Erin Fago '20 racked up points for their team. 

The Diplomats entered the final month of action sweeping a quad-meet against Dickinson, Cabrini, and SUNY New Paltz on Feb. 3 courtesy of top individual finishes from Fago, Katherine Hirsch '20, Jonnalagadda, Pereles, and Julia Pavlov '21.

The women's team received post-season recognition after being selected as a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
