GREENSBORO, N.C. – Franklin & Marshall junior Becca Meyers was back in the pool Saturday for day two of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, competing in the preliminaries of the 200-yard freestyle. She finished 44th, missing tonight's finals.
The junior entered the competition seeded 46th, but her time of 1:57.79 placed her 44th this morning. Only the top 16 finishers advanced to the finals at the day's second session.
Meyers returns to the pool on Saturday for her best event, the 1650-yard freestyle in which she is seeded fourth. The event will be decided by a series of timed finals, with the fastest heat (including Meyers) taking place at the beginning of the evening session on Saturday. That session is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m.
