  • Six Diplomats Named to the CC Sportsmanship Team

    Six Franklin & Marshall athletes have been named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team. The Centennial Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) established the All-Sportsmanship team in 2007. Each team elected a member from their squad who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season to be elected to the All-Centennial sportsmanship team.
  • 22 Diplomats Earn CC Academic Honor Roll

    Franklin & Marshall placed 22 student-athletes on the Centennial Conference (CC) Academic Honor Roll Wednesday. To be nominated for the Academic Honor Roll, a student must meet the following criteria: (a) participates in at least 50 percent of contests, matches, or meets, or in the Conference varsity championship in swimming, indoor track & track or wrestling; (b) a sophomore or higher in class standing; (c) cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.
  • Nine Diplomats Reach Final Round

    Franklin & Marshall put itself in a great position to catch Gettysburg in the team standings by advancing nine swimmers from Sunday’s preliminaries to the finals. Five swimmers made the championship round while four reached the consolation finals for the Diplomats who trail Gettysburg 421.5-406 in the team race.

    Franklin & Marshall finished second to Gettysburg for the second year in a row at the Centennial Conference Championships. The host Bullets scored 635.5 points to win, while the Diplomats scored a 597.5. F&M crowned five champions, brought home one silver, while three finished third for the weekend.

    Katherine Grant set new school records in the 1000 and 1650 freestyles as the Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team defeated Ursinus, 121-84, in Centennial Conference action on Saturday afternoon. The Diplomats have now won four straight and move to 5-2 overall and 5-0 in the CC, while the Bears fall to 4-4 overall and 1-1 CC.

    Franklin & Marshall remained perfect in Centennial Conference (CC) action dominating McDaniel 55-30 with the final two events going to exhibition, in women’s swimming action. The Diplomats earned the top spot in seven events to move to 4-2, 4-0 CC while the Green Terror fell to 1-7, 0-5 CC.

    Katherine Grant won the 1650 freestyle with an NCAA B Cut time to help the Franklin & Marshall women's swimming team to a third-place finish in a field of 10 teams at the F&M Invitational following Sunday's third and final session. The Diplomats claimed third with a total of 542.5 points, behind only California (Pa.) (883.5) and Washington & Lee (625).

  • Women’s Swimming Season Preview

    Last season, the Franklin & Marshall women’s swimming team looked to defend their 2010 Centennial Conference (CC) title. Unfortunately, the Diplomats finished second to Gettysburg in the 2011 championship meet. Led by six CC medalists from that squad, the Diplomats will look to return to the top in 2012.
