PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 18 Franklin & Marshall women's squash team is set to compete in the 2014 College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships, hosted by Princeton, on Friday with an opening round match against No. 23 Mount Holyoke in the Walker Cup (C Division). The contest kicks off at 10:00 a.m and marks the first time F&M has competed for the Walker Cup since 2011 when the Diplomats won three straight to earn the title.
F&M enters action with a 7-12 record but has won two out of its last three contests, while the Lyons sit at 9-10 on the year.
The semifinals will take place Saturday at 9:00 a.m. with the winner squaring off against either No. 19 St. Lawrence or No. 22 Wellesley. The championship match of the eight-team bracket is slated for a 10:30 a.m. start on Sunday. Live brackets of the entire tournament will be updated throughout the weekend and can be viewed here.
The Diplomats are 6-3 all time against Mount Holyoke with their last win coming on Jan. 19, 2012 in a 7-2 victory. At last season's CSA Team Championships, F&M competed in the Kurtz Cup (B Division) but fell in three-straight contests, including a 6-3 battle against No. 16 Amherst in the consolations.
