Women's Soccer Ties Cabrini

Shannon Summers scored her first two goals of the season, with her second tally coming with just four seconds left to play to force the extra period as the Franklin & Marshall women's soccer team battled Cabrini to a 2-all tie on Thursday night.

The Cavaliers (3-4-1) never trailed, taking a 1-0 lead from Lauren Colosi in 51st minute off an assist from Brittany Shields.

The Diplomats didn't take long to even the score at the 62:58 mark. Summers teamed up with Athena Manolakos for her first goal and knot the game at 1-all.

Sabina DeGisi sent a shot high at the 81:47 mark, before finishing a pass from Collette Walsh just 31 seconds later and giving Cabrini a 2-1lead.

With time expiring, Shelby Cummins connected with Summers to make it 2-all and keep the Diplomats' (3-2-2) hopes alive for a chance at their fourth win.

Goalkeeper Erin Roy recorded 10 saves on 19 shots, while Gianna Poretta stopped nine of F&M's 15 shots.

The Diplomats return to action on Sunday against Washington. Game time is 1 p.m.
