Franklin & Marshall enters the homestretch of its 2018 schedule is set for a pair of Centennial Conference (CC) contests this week, traveling to Gettysburg on Wednesday before hosting Washington on Saturday.

Series History: The Diplomats are aiming to break a nine-game losing streak against Gettysburg and are in search of their first series win since 2008 - when a late Danielle David penalty kick goal delivered a 1-0 F&M win in Lancaster.

Washington heads to town on Saturday for the 22nd meeting between the two institutions The Diplomats have historically dominated the series by a 16-2-3 margin with their last victory over the Shorewomen at home occurring in 2013 with a 1-0 OT victory.

Last Week: The Diplomats went 0-2 in CC play last week after falling to McDaniel by a 4-0 score on Wednesday before being narrowly edged by Ursinus 1-0 on Saturday.

Against McDaniel, F&M surrendered all four goals in the opening half, including three in a row from midfielder Hannah Schepers. The Diplomats defense was strong after the break, holding the Green Terror to just one shot on goal.

Against Ursinus, F&M gave up the lone goal in the 55th minute. The Diplomats had scoring opportunities late in the frame but came up just short on several chances, including an Allison Klei header with under a minute left that sailed just high over the crossbar.

Among the Leaders: Ryan O'Rourke is tied for eighth in the CC in assists with three.

Goalkeeper Gabby Panayotakis stands third among the Conference leaders in saves with 47. As a team, the Diplomats rank second in total saves with 71. 

Record Book Watch: In just her sophomore season, Panayotakis' 131 career saves already places 12th on the program's career list. Ami Sheinberg '87 leads the way with 509. Her six shutouts are tied for seventh. Amanda McGowan '13 tops the list with 19 in her storied career.
