Series History: Franklin & Marshall heads into the final week of September by hosting a pair of Centennial Conference (CC) opponents on Tylus Field. The Diplomats are set to battle Dickinson on Wednesday in the 42nd all-time meeting between the two institutions. F&M's last win at home in the series occurred on Oct. 29, 2016, when Kate Kerr's 32nd-minute tally keyed a 1-0 shutout.

Swarthmore heads to Lancaster on Saturday as the Diplomats aim to end a four-game slide in the series. F&M's last win over the Garnet was back in the 2013 season - a 2-1 win on Tylus.

Last Week: F&M complied a 1-1 record last week, earning its first win of the 2018 campaign with a 3-1 victory over Hood on Tuesday, before falling to Haverford by a 3-1 tally on Saturday.

Against Hood, the Diplomats inflicted their damage with three first-half goals from Sarah Marsan (11th minute), Allison Klei (24th minute), and Sam Springer (33rd minute). The final shot count narrowly favored F&M at 11-10, while the Blazers held a 7-1 lead in corners. Diplomat goalkeeper Tara Hessenthaler (1-0) earned her first career win after registering three saves in 90 minutes.

With just four minutes remaining in the second half against Haverford, F&M cut into a 2-0 deficit with Kirsten Heine's second score of the season. Ryan O'Rourke sent a short cross to Heine, who fired a shot from six yards out to make it a 2-1 game.

However, Haverford put the contest out of reach for good in the closing seconds when Mia Reyes beat the Diplomats' goalkeeper in a one-on-one opportunity for the two-goal win.
