Franklin & Marshall Ranks Among National Leaders in May 8 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Statistics

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College goalie Kamissa Mort (Sr., Ashton, MD/Sandy Spring), defender Holly Rutherford (Sr., Rochester, NY/Brighton) and the Diplomats' women's lacrosse team are ranked among the national leaders in the May 8 NCAA women's lacrosse statistics.

As a team, the Diplomats are ranked sixth in draw controls (14.12 per game), 18th in scoring offense (13.82 gpg), 19th in winning percentage (76.5%), 20th in scoring defense (7.88 gpg), 15th in scoring margin (5.94 gpg) and 16th in caused turnovers (12.76 ctpg) and

Individually, Mort is ranked 16th in goals against average (7.81 per game), while Rutherford is 28th in caused turnovers (2.53 per game).

Franklin & Marshall, which defeated Denison University 18-4 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, will continue the season on May 13 versus Nazareth College at SUNY-Cortland in the regional semifinals. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m.

One of the most successful Division III women's lacrosse programs in the nation, Franklin & Marshall has captured six conference titles as the Diplomats have competed in 15 national championship tournaments and recorded a mark of 295-148-3 in 30 years of competition.
