WESTMINISTER, Md. -- No. 4 Franklin & Marshall cruised to a 16-3 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) women's lacrosse action Wednesday evening. The Diplomats improved to 11-3, 6-0 CC, while the Green Terror fell to 5-7, 1-4 CC.

After an early goal by McDaniel, F&M netted five straight for a 5-1 lead at 12:15. The Green Terror tallied one at 11:28, but the Diplomats closed out the half with two unanswered and took a 7-2 lead into the break.

F&M scored eight for a strong open in the second and led 15-2 with 8:14 on the clock. McDaniel managed to find the net one last time at 4:24 and F&M answered two minutes later for the final tally of the game.

Jane Cote paced the offense with five goals and three assists, Megan Jackson netted four with two helpers and Ally Marino picked up the hat trick and added an assist. Caroline Kolva had two goals, Tabitha Rodriguez  had one and Maisie O'Shea recorded two assists for F&M.

Maggie Hanzsche  caused three turnovers and had five ground balls and Emma Arronson came away with three ground balls. Emily Kitchin turned away eight shots and improved to 5-0 in the cage.

F&M outshot McDaniel 34-15, held a 22-15 edge in turnovers, but the Green Terror won 12-of-21 draws.

The Diplomats return to action on Saturday when F&M travels to Washington for a 3:00 p.m. game.
