No. 2 Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse heads down to Englewood, Fla. to take on No. 14 Bowdoin on Wednesday for the first meeting between the two programs.

F&M moved up to No. 2 in the latest IWCLA Coaches poll. Gettysburg remained in the top spot while Haverford (20th) rounds out the Centennial Conference (CC) schools.

Hanzsche Named CC POTW

Maggie Hanzsche was named the CC Defensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor was the first for Hanzsche and second for the team this season. Full release

F&M Last Week

The Diplomats opened the week with a 6-4 win against No. 2 Mary Washington on Wednesday. Recap.

F&M's defense was unrelenting, causing 21 turnovers with Hanzsche leading the way with a career-high seven caused turnovers and five groundballs. Megan Jackson followed with four caused turnovers and four groundballs.

Ally Marino paced the offense with three goals, followed by Maddie Hughes with two. Jane Cote notched two assists and a score on the day.

On Saturday, F&M delivered a 16-10 tally against No. 15 Cortland. Recap.

Marino led with four scores on the day followed by Cote, Caroline Kolva, and Maisie O'Shea with two each. Hughes had a game-high three assists.

Jackson came away with six draw controls while Hanzsche cemented the defense with two caused turnovers and six groundballs.
