Series History: F&M would face FDU for the first time and Tufts for the third time on Sunday. The Diplomats won the previous two meetings against the Jumbos, including a 17-8 victory in the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
National Rankings: F&M is ranked No. 7 in the latest coaches poll, while Tufts comes in at 13th.
F&M's Road: F&M earned an at-large bid into the Tournament. The Diplomats are making their 20th NCAA Tournament appearance, and 12th in the last 13 years. F&M is 30-16 in NCAA Playoff games and 18-1 at home in NCAA games since the start of the 2006 Tournament. The Diplomats have advanced to the Final Four twice in the last three seasons and have won NCAA Championships in 2007 and 2009.
Tufts' Road: Tufts finished the regular season with a 12-4 record and earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament for its fourth NCAA berth and first since 2015. The Jumbos also qualified in 2009 and 2011. The team has a 4-3 overall record in NCAA play.
FDU's Road: The Devils from Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham won their fourth-straight Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Championship. FDU is playing in NCAA Tournament for the fifth time overall (2008, 2015-18) and hold a 3-4 mark.
All-Conference: Five members of the Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team earned All-Centennial Conference (CC) recognition, announced by the league office on Wednesday. Paige Moriarty, Maggie Hanzsche and Danielle Harrington were named to the First Team, while Anya Chopoorian landed on the Second Team and Jane Cote received Honorable Mention.
Moriarty was also named the CC Offensive Player of the Year for the second time in her career. The three First-Team selections brought F&M's total to 68 which is the most in the history of the Conference.
Record Watch: Senior Paige Moriarty reset the Franklin & Marshall and Centennial Conference career points record earlier this season and enters the week with 383 career points. Blake Hargest '10 previously held the record with 341. Moriarty has 223 goals which are good for second – Jen Pritchard '09 has school mark at 268 – while her 160 assists are tied for first with Hargest.
Danielle Harrington entered the top-10 in program history, coming in at sixth with 480 careers saves. Elizabeth Eide '88 leads the category with 732.
