Series History: F&M faces off with two CC opponents this week and the Diplomats have a combined 78-0 record against the two foes. Dickinson has dropped its first 43 meetings against F&M, while Muhlenberg is looking for its first win over the Diplomats after 35 consecutive losses to open the series.
Milestone Watch: Senior Paige Moriarty reset the Franklin & Marshall and Centennial Conference career points record earlier this season and enters the week with 366 career points. Blake Hargest '10 previously held the record with 341. Moriarty has 213 goals which are good for third – Jen Pritchard '09 has school mark at 268 – while her 153 assists are second. Hargest leads that category as well with 160 assists.
Danielle Harrington entered the top-10 in program history, coming in at sixth with 444 careers saves. Elizabeth Eide '88 leads the category with 732.
National Rankings: Danielle Harrington ranks in the top-15 in two categories nationally heading into the week. Her .562 save percentage is 11th, while her 7.13 goals against average ranks 15th.
Top-25: F&M is ranked seventh in the latest coaches poll. Gettysburg, who is ranked fourth, and Washington (25th) are the only other Centennial schools ranked in the top-25. Complete poll.
POTW: Danielle Harrington was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Defensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor is the second for Harrington this season and fourth of her career.
Harrington went 2-0 last week in the cage for F&M with 16 saves. Harrington turned away eight shots in the win over McDaniel and finished with eight saves and four ground balls against Washington to finish out the week.
Hughes finished with five scores and five draws, Moriarty had two goals and two assists and Natalie Delinsky scored three with one helper to help lead the offense. Maggie Hanzsche caused three turnovers and Vanessa Budd ended with two caused turnovers to pace the defense.
Julia Nelson picked up the win with seven stops and Layne Taber took the loss for Dickinson.
F&M outshot Dickinson 24-16 and went 12-for-16 on clear attempts.
Last Time We Met Muhlenberg: Paige Moriarty and Gabby Frank combined for nine goals to lead the No. 10 Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team to a commanding 15-7 victory over Muhlenberg last year. Complete release.
Paige Moriarty led the attack with five goals and two assists, followed by Gabby Frank with four goals. Maddie Hughes scored twice and dished out one helper while Hannah Serling scored once and was credited with one assist.
Hannah Serling and Hughes both collected three ground balls. Serling added three draw controls and caused two turnovers while Hughes caused three turnovers.
