Series History: F&M opens the week at SUNY Cortland looking to build on its first victory against the Red Dragons last season. The Diplomats then travel out west for spring break and take on a first-time opponent in St. Mary's (Md.) and then face Occidental with a 1-0 edge in the overall record. 

Milestone Watch: Senior Paige Moriarty hit the 300-point mark in her career to start out the season. Only four other Diplomats have reached this mark. Moriarty is closing in on multiple records. Her 312 points are fifth with Blake Hargest '10 holding the all-time record at 341. She has 186 goals good for fourth – Jen Pritchard '09 has school mark at 268 – while here 126 assist place fourth. Hargest leads that category as well with 160 assists.

Last Time We Met Cortland: Paige Moriarty scored six goals and handed out three assists to lead No. 8 Franklin & Marshall to a 12-2 victory over No. 2 Cortland State last season. Full recap.

Moriarty tallied a season-high six goals, including the final three of the game, and added three assists. Katie Groenke netted three goals and one assist, while Gabby Frank notched two goals and an assist. Yen Baker led the defense with four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Melissa Judge garnered five of the Diplomats' eight draw controls on the afternoon. Danielle Harrington stood tall in goal, turning away eight shots.

Emily Everdell forced two turnovers, while Anastasia Mergner came away with six draws and three ground balls. Kaitlin Hardt improved to 2-0 with five saves. F&M outshot Occidental 31-16, won 14-of-26 draws and went 15-for-17 in clear attempts. 

F&M Last Week: The Diplomats split the week beginning with a 9-4 loss to No. 6 York (Pa.) on Wednesday before returning home to defeat No. 16 Messiah 13-3 on Saturday.
