• Season in Review: 2019 Women's Lacrosse

    Franklin & Marshall continued to cement itself as one of the top lacrosse programs in the country with another deep run into the NCAA Tournament and a consistent top-10 national ranking throughout the year. F&M advanced to the NCAAs for the seventh straight season, making it to four Elite Eights, and two Final Fours in those appearances. The Diplomats finished the year with a 17-5 record with a perfect 9-0 mark in Centennial Conference (CC) action.

  • Three Diplomats Named All-Americans

    Three members of the Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWCLA) All-America Team announced Monday. Maggie Hanzsche was named to the First Team while Megan Jackson and Emily Kitchin earned spots on the Second Team. The honor is the second of Hanzsche and the first for Jackson and Kitchin. 
  • Hughes Named to IWLCA Senior All-Star Team

    Franklin & Marshall’s Maddie Hughes was named to the 2019 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association 2019 Senior All-Star Team. The Diplomats’ senior midfielder was one of only 44 student-athletes in Division III to earn the honor and will compete for the North Team on Saturday, June 1st on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md.
  • Four Named to All-Region Squad

    Four members of Franklin & Marshall's women's lacrosse team were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWCLA) All-Metro Region Team, announced Monday. Maggie Hanzsche, Megan Jackson, and Emily Kitchin were named to the First Team while Ally Marino was named to the Second Team.

    No. 5 Franklin & Marshall dropped a 16-4 contest to No. 3 Middlebury in NCAA women’s lacrosse action on Sunday afternoon. The Diplomats season ended with a 17-5 record and the program’s second-straight Elite 8 appearance.

    Saturday’s meeting against Illinois Wesleyan will be the first between the two teams. If F&M advances, the Diplomats would face either Bowdoin or Middlebury. F&M faced Bowdoin for the first earlier this season and came away with a 14-12 win, and a meeting against Middlebury would be just the third between the two teams with the series tied at 1-1.

    Jane Cote dished out five assists and scored one goal to lead No. 5 Franklin & Marshall to a 17-3 victory over Springfield (13-7) in the second round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday afternoon at Shadek Stadium. With the five helpers, Cote became the seventh Diplomat to reach 100 career assists. The Diplomats improved to 16-4 and will take on Illinois Wesleyan next Saturday.   • Six Named All-CC; Hanzsche, Marino and Faith Take Top Honors

    Six Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse members were named to the 2019 All-Centennial Conference (CC) Team, announced Wednesday. Megan Jackson, Maggie Hanzsche and Emily Kitchin were named to the First Team, while Ally Marino, Tabitha Rodriguez, and Anya Chopoorian landed on the Second Team. Hanzsche earned Defensive Player of the Year honors, Marino was named the Rookie of the Year and head coach Mike Faith was picked by his peers as Coach of the Year for the second time (2016) in his career. The three First-Team selections bring F&M's total to 71, the most in the history of the Centennial.

  • Diplomats Fall to Gettysburg in CC Final

    No. 2 Gettysburg picked up their third consecutive Centennial Conference (CC) Crown with a 16-6 victory over No. 4 Franklin & Marshall Sunday afternoon at Shadek Stadium. The Bullets (17-1), will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, while the Diplomats (15-4) will have to wait until tonight's NCAA Selection Show to find out if they can receive an at-large bid. The national honor is the second for Kitchin and the fourth recognition for the team this season. The CC award is the third for Kitchin and the fifth for a member of the F&M team.
