Franklin & Marshall continues to show its dominance in women's lacrosse as 2018 saw the Diplomats compete for a conference title and make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. F&M advanced to the NCAA for the sixth straight season and have made two Sweet 16s, two Elite Eights and two Final Fours in those appearances. The Diplomats finished the year with an 18-5 record with a perfect 9-0 mark in Centennial Conference (CC) action.
Three members of the Franklin & Marshall women's lacrosse team were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWCLA) All-America Team announced Wednesday. Paige Moriarty was named to the first team, Maggie Hanzsche earned a spot on the second team, and Danielle Harrington landed on the third team. The honors are the first for Hanzsche and Harrington while Moriarty earns All-America honors for the third time and was named Attacker of the Year.

F&M is taking on Colorado College for the just the second time in program history. The Diplomats won the first meeting 9-5 back in 2001. F&M could face TCNJ for 21st time on Sunday, with the Lions holding a 16-4 record. A matchup with Bowdoin would be the first in program history.

The Diplomats begin their 20th NCAA campaign on Sunday, hosting the winner of FDU-Florham or Tufts in the second round at 2:00 p.m. Tufts and FDU-Florham will play at Shadek Stadium on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and the winner faces F&M on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
