Ken Ord begins his 11th season as the head women's golf coach at F&M in the 2019-20 academic year.
Under Ord’s guidance, a member of the Diplomats has earned All-Centennial Conference (CC) honors on five occasions, including a run of three-straight seasons from 2015-17. In that list is Kathleen Smith '16, who became just the fourth women’s golfer in F&M history to earn a pair of All-CC honors after tying for fifth in 2016 and earning runner-up honors in 2015.
A 1990 graduate of Slippery Rock University with a B.S. in Business Administration, Ord's professional golf career started in 1992. He gained full membership into the PGA in 1996 and is currently the PGA Director of Golf at Overlook Golf Course.
While at Slippery Rock University, Ord was a four-year standout pitcher for the baseball program. In 1989, SRU baseball competed in the National College World Series where Ord was the winning pitcher in Game 2. Along with baseball, he has excelled in other sports as he's competed in national events in ice hockey as well.
Ord resides in Lancaster County with his wife, Candace. They are the proud parents of two children, Mackenzie '96, and Michael '99.
