LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's women's golf team wrapped up play at day one of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championship tied for sixth out of eight competing teams.

The Diplomats produced a 455 total at the par-70, 5,863-yard Conestoga Country Club Course in Lancaster. Gettysburg leads the team standings with a 346 total, followed by Marymount (366) and Dickinson (368).
Maddy Markmann-Porch put together F&M's best round by shooting a 109 to sit in 22nd out of 37 golfers heading into tomorrow's final round. She shaved nine strokes off her back-nine total and recorded a pair of pars on the day.
Jamila Gowdy is close behind in a tie for 23rd after carding a 111 total on Saturday. Her best moment of the day came at the 11th where she birdied the par-3, 150-yard hole.
Megan Whittier sits in 25th with a 115 total. She got off to a strong start by carding a 52 on her opening nine. Ember Toth rounded out the F&M scorers with a 120 stroke total. She finished her round strong with two pars on her final four holes.
