LAFAYETTE, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's golf team came up just one stroke short of tying for the team title at Saturday afternoon's Jefferson Tri-Match in Lafayette. The Diplomats placed second out of three teams after totaling a 384 at the par-72, 5,600-yard ACE Club Course.

Jefferson, which is a squad made up of players from Philadelphia University and Thomas Jefferson University, narrowly took first with a 383 total, while Arcadia was third after carding a 403.
Anelise Browne continued her strong fall campaign with her third-straight, second-place showing after shooting an 83 on the day. Her stroke average on the season now sits at an impressive 81.8 through four rounds. Browne finished just three strokes off the lead as Jefferson's Kinley Lingenfelter secured first with a round of 80.
Sarah Acquaviva was the Diplomats' next-highest finisher with a 97 to secure fifth out of 14 competitors. Jamila Gowdy and Maddy Markmann-Porch both tied for ninth after each fired a 102, while Ember Toth carded a 113.
F&M concludes its fall season with the Diplomats' fourth and final event on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Dutchmen Fall Invitational, hosted by LVC.
