ABBOTTSTOWN, Md. – Anelise Browne carded an 83 to secure second place and lead Franklin & Marshall's women's golf team to a sixth-place showing out of seven scoring teams at Sunday's McDaniel Fall Invitational.

Browne was just one stroke off the lead as Stevenson's Morgan Wirtz won the title among 34 competitors with an 82 at the par-72, 5,813-yard Bridges Golf Club course. The strong effort from Browne marked the highest finish among Centennial Conference (CC) competitors at the event, with Dickinson, Gettysburg, McDaniel, and newly-added Marymount also taking part.
Freshman Sarah Acquaviva provided a 14th-place finish for F&M after totaling a 93. Maddy Markmann-Porch was next with a 106, while Megan Whittier (117) and Olivia Tufano (133) rounded out the Diplomats' competitors.
As a team, the Diplomats combined for a 399 total. Steven earned the win with a 346, followed by Dickinson (351) and Marymount (376).
