HARRSIBURG, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall freshman Elizabeth Koloski carded a 77 to take first place at the Dickinson Fall Invitational, leading a group of three Diplomat women's golfers on Sunday afternoon at the Colonial Country Club in Harrisburg.
Competing in her first collegiate event, Koloski beat out a field of 60 golfers at the par-72, 5,801-yard course, finishing one stroke ahead of Stevenson's Morgan Wirtz in second. Kathleen Smith, the runner-up at last season's Centennial Conference (CC) Championship, tied for 10th with an 88, while freshman Megan Whittier rounded out the scoring for F&M with a 115.
The Diplomats did not meet the minimum of four players required to record a finish in the team standings. Gettysburg won the event with a 346 to beat out a field of 10 squads.
Action continues on Sunday, Oct. 4 when the Diplomats play host to a number of teams at the Foxchase Golf Club in Stevens, Pa. Competition is set to begin at noon.
