Series History

The No. 9 Diplomats begin their week with a Wednesday matchup hosting York (Pa.) at 4:30 p.m. F&M defeated the Spartans last season behind goals by Caitlin Morrissey, Erin Coverdale, and Lily Mynott, 3-2.

F&M plays its first Centennial Conference tilt of the season when the Diplomats host Muhlenberg on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The Diplomats and Mules split their two matchups last year- F&M won the latter of the two games in double overtime- but F&M has won 12 of the last 14 games in the matchup since 2009.

Last Week

F&M won a Wednesday night thriller at Lebanon Valley, 3-2. Erin Coverdale blasted the game-winning goal with just 26 seconds remaining in regulation.

The Diplomats hosted Mary Washington in their home opener on Saturday, winning 5-0 behind Lily Mynott's first career hat trick and the second shutout of the season from Christina Seery (4-0).

F&M was selected as the No. 9 team in all of Division III in the second NFHCA poll of the regular season. Four Centennial Conference teams received votes in the national rankings: No. 8 Johns Hopkins, No. 9 F&M, No. 11 Ursinus, and Haverford. The Diplomats were selected to finish second in the CC in the 2019 Centennial Conference Field Hockey Preseason Poll. Johns Hopkins was selected to repeat as CC Champions, receiving 99 total points, including eight first-place votes. F&M received the remaining three first-place votes (93 total points) after falling to JHU in the CC Championship last season. Complete Poll.

Record Book Watch

Erin Coverdale has 49 career goals and is fourth in program history. She is one away from 50 career goals, three away from entering the top-three in F&M history, and five away from becoming the record-holder. Coverdale has 19 career assists, tied for seventh in program history, and is one away from moving into a tie for sixth in program history.

Caitlin Morrissey has six penalty stroke conversions in her career, which is second in program history. The F&M record is 10 (Annie Horsley '18).

Lily Mynott has scored 24 career goals. Two more goals will propel her into a tie for the top-15 in program history.

Coverdale Breaks Game-Winner Record

Erin Coverdale broke the F&M record for career game-winners when she notched her 15th and 16th career game-winners against Lebanon Valley (9/11) and Mary Washington (9/14), passing Sydney Cole '18.

Coverdale Earns CC Offensive Player of the Week

Erin Coverdale earned Offensive Player of the Week honors for the Centennial Conference after her strong play against Lebanon Valley and Mary Washington. The senior forward found the back of the net three times, two for game-winners, and tallied two assists.
