CC Playoff Picture: Franklin & Marshall enters the week tied for second with a 5-1 mark in Centennial Conference (CC) action. Both Johns Hopkins and Ursinus also have five wins to round out the top-three spots. 

Series History: No. 13 F&M opens the week at Gettysburg for a key CC matchup. The Diplomats hold a 14-9-2 record when playing the Bullets in Gettysburg. 

F&M hosts Washington College for the 26th meeting between the two schools. The Diplomats currently hold a seven-game winning streak and an 8-4 record when playing at home.

Last Game Against Gettysburg: Goals from Nicole Bodo and Emily Nagle helped F&M to a 2-0 victory over Gettysburg last season.

Last Game Against Washington: The Diplomats notched a 2-1 comeback victory over the Shorewomen with two goals from Annie Horsley.

Two late goals from Erin Coverdale helped lift F&M over No. 20 Ursinus in a 3-2 comeback victory on Saturday.

CC POTW: Ilianna Santangelo was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Defensive Player of the Week for field hockey, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor was the fifth in Santangelo's career, and her second this season.

In the Rankings: The Diplomats fell one spot to No. 13 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Poll this week. Johns Hopkins (No. 17) and Ursinus (No. 20) are the only other CC schools in the top-20 while reigning Champion, Middlebury, sits in the top spot.

Among the Leaders (NCAA): After allowing just six goals on the year, F&M ranks eighth across Division III teams in save percentage (.857). The Diplomats also rank fourth in goals against average (0.50) and fourth in shutouts per game (0.67).

Goalkeeper Ilianna Santangelo sits sixth in the country for goals against average (0.52) and 10th in save percentage (0.842). Coverdale broke into the top-50 in points per game (43rd – 2.33) and goals per game (31st – 1.08).

Among the Leaders (CC): Coverdale currently leads all CC players with 28 points and is first with 13 goals on the year while Emily Nagle is tied for second with five assists. Santangelo leads the Conference in save percentage (.842) and is first in goals-against average (0.52). 

Milestone Watch: Coverdale cracked the top-10 in the program for points with 90 in her career. Brittany Croll '06 leads the category with 127. She also sits tied for eighth with 39 goals, needing two more to reach seventh. Coverdale sits fourth in program history with 10 game-winning goals. Sydney Cole '17 leads the category with 15.

Santangelo is second in career shutouts with 27, while Laura Cianciulli '82 leads with 30. The senior also ranks 10th in saves with 214. Kelly Schenke '95 leads the category with 1,279.

Santangelo Sets Win Mark: With a 7-0 F&M victory over Eastern on Sept 12., Santangelo set the program record for career wins with 51. She surpassed Avery Koep '14. 

Home-field Advantage: The Diplomats enter the week owning a 9-0 record in CC games played in Lancaster dating back to Oct. 22, 2016.
