Series History: No. 12 Franklin & Marshall starts the week on the road for a Centennial Conference matchup against McDaniel. The Diplomats own a 14-8-1 record when playing on the road against the Green Terror.

F&M returns home on Saturday to take on Conference-rival No. 12 Ursinus in the 36th meeting between the two programs. Though Ursinus owns the overall record at 27-9, the Diplomats have taken the last two contests against the Bears.

Last Game Against McDaniel: Emily Nagle tallied a hat trick to help F&M to a 6-1 victory over McDaniel last season. Erin Coverdale, Nicole Bodo, and Sydney Cole were the other goal-scorers for the Diplomats.

Last Game Against Ursinus: The Diplomats downed the Bears by a 3-1 tally in last year's CC Semifinals. Nagle, Lily Mynott, and Sarah Schaunnauer found the back of the cage for F&M.

Last Week: F&M finished last week 8-2, 3-1 CC after falling to Messiah in a 2-1 OT heartbreaker Wednesday and downing Swarthmore 2-0 on Saturday.

Two late goals helped No. 2 Messiah to the 2-1 victory over F&M with the Diplomats' lone goal coming from Phoebe Wood.

The Diplomats notched their sixth shutout of the season against the Garnet on Saturday with goals from Coverdale and Caitlin Morrissey.

In the Rankings: The Diplomats remained at No. 12 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Poll this week. Johns Hopkins (No. 16) and Ursinus (No. 20) are the only other CC schools while reigning Champion, Middlebury, sits in the top spot.

Among the Leaders (NCAA): After allowing just four goals on the year, F&M ranks third across Division III teams in save percentage (.892) and ranks third in goals against average (0.40) and fourth in shutouts per game (0.70). Goalkeeper Ilianna Santangelo sits third in the country for goals against average (0.41) and fifth in save percentage (0.879). 

Among the Leaders (CC): Coverdale currently leads all CC players with 21 points and is first with 10 goals on the year while Katie O'Loughlin, Emma Durantine, and Nagle are tied for third with three assists. Santangelo leads the Conference in save percentage (.879) and is second in goals-against average (0.41).

Milestone Watch: Coverdale sits fourth in program history with nine game-winning goals. Sydney Cole '17 leads the category with 15. The sophomore forward is also tied for 10th in career goals at 36. Laura Kramedas '79 leads with 53.  

Santangelo is second in career shutouts with 27, while Laura Cianciulli '82 leads with 30. 

Santangelo Sets Win Mark: With a 7-0 F&M victory over Eastern on Sept 12., Santangelo set the program record for career wins with 51. She surpassed Avery Koep '14. 

Home-field Advantage: The Diplomats enter the week owning an 8-0 record in CC games played in Lancaster dating back to Oct. 22, 2016.
