LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall field hockey's coaching staff was named as the Regional Coaching Staff of the Year for the South Region by the NFHCA on Thursday afternoon. The honor is the first post-season accolade for first-year head coach Kaitlyn Eager. Coach Missy Mariano was last F&M coach to win this award after the 2011 season.
Eager, along with assistant coaches Jenn Hanks and Gabrielle Nolt, helped the Diplomats to one of the best seasons in program history, tying the program's single-season wins record, with an 18-4 overall record after making the program's 11th NCAA Tournament appearance and first Final Four contest since 1983.
The Diplomats won the CC Championship for the first time since 2012 with 2-1 victory over Johns Hopkins on Nov. 5.
