Franklin & Marshall's field hockey team concluded their regular season with a 13-3, 9-1 CC record to earn the program's seventh straight tournament appearance, securing the No. 2 seed. F&M is in search of its first CC Title since 2012 with a 4-1 win over Haverford.
CC Tournament: This season marks F&M's 12th CC Tournament appearance with an active six-season streak that is good for second in the conference. The Diplomats have brought in one title in 2012. F&M's tournament record stands at 9-11 and 7-3 in semifinal contests.
Johns Hopkins earned the spot as the top-seed and right to host. The Blue Jays take on Haverford, who beat Washington College in a 2-1 OT victory on Tuesday evening, on Friday at 1:00 p.m.

Series History: Ursinus owns the advantage in the overall series 27-8; with the Bears' most recent win coming in the CC finals last season. The Diplomats were able to hold off the Bears in a 3-2 OT victory on Oct. 7.
Last Week: The Diplomats opened the week hosting York for their annual Breast Cancer Awareness game. F&M took a 3-2 OT victory with a goal from Lily Mynott. Mynott scored two goals on the day while Erin Coverdale tallied one.

F&M then traveled to Johns Hopkins where the Diplomats to the Blue Jays 2-1. Annie Horsley scored the lone F&M goal.

In the Rankings: F&M stayed at No. 13 in this week's NFHCA national coaches poll, while Messiah remains in the top spot. The Diplomats are the only CC team to appear in the top-20 poll, though Johns Hopkins received votes.

Among CC Leaders: Coverdale maintains the lead among CC players with 15 goals; she also leads the way with 35 points. Emily Nagle places fifth with 10 on the year, while Sydney Cole is tied for seventh with eight. Coverdale and Cole entered a seven-way tie for second with five assists.
Ilianna Santangelo ranks among CC goalkeepers first in goals-against average (0.89) and second in save percentage of .829.
Among the Leaders (NCAA): As a team, F&M ranks eighth among all DIII institutions in shutouts per game, blanking their opponents in 50 percent of contests.
Goalkeeper Santangelo also ranks 10th in save percentage (.829).
Milestone Watch: Cole ranks 11th in career goals (35) and is 10th in career points (90). Cole holds the record for game-winning goals at 14. Coverdale now breaks the top-20 in career points, coming in tied for 16th with 58. Coverdale also ranks 16th with 25 career goals. Nagle cracks the top-25 in points, tied for 24th with 50 and needs one more to tie for 22nd. Brittany Croll '06 leads in points with 127. Cole has 20 assists to put her in sixth, while Horsley has 18 to tie for eighth. Eileen O'Reilly '11 leads this category with 35.
Tallying four defensive saves in 2017, Sarah Schannauer now ranks second (14), with Steph McDonald '13 leading the category at 16. Santangelo entrenched her second-place spot with 41 wins; needing nine more to tie for first and now ranks fourth in shutouts with 20, while Laura Cianciulli '82 leads with 30.
