Series History: F&M (7-2, 4-0 CC) hosts McDaniel on Wednesday to start a five-game conference run. The Diplomats have historically been dominant, owning a 27-14-1 lead over the Green Terror in the all-time series, and have not lost since 2008.

The Diplomats then travel to Ursinus on Saturday for a pivotal matchup with the perennial CC contenders. Ursinus owns the advantage in the overall series 27-7, with the Bears' most recent win coming in the CC finals last season.

Last Game Against McDaniel: Last season, the Diplomats traveled to Westminster on Oct. 3 to tally the 3-0 victory.

Nicole Bodo scored the first goal of the day off a penalty corner in the third minute of play with the assist from Annie Horsley. Emily Nagle tallied the next goal 14 minutes later off an assist from Sarah Schannauer. Erin Coverdale recorded the final goal of the game in the 62nd minute off a pass from Sydney Cole.

Last Game Against Ursinus: The Diplomats traveled to Collegeville on Nov. 6, 2016 for the CC finals and fell to the Bears in a tough overtime loss 2-1. 

Ursinus got on the board first in the 27th minute of play, but the Diplomats were quick to respond, evening the score just three minutes later when Phoebe Wood deflected Horsley's shot into the path of Nagle, who scored the tying goal. Strong defense kept the rest of the match even, with the Bears able to break away 11 minutes into overtime action to take the game and conference title.

Last Week: F&M started the week with a tough loss to No. 1 Messiah 3-1. Lily Mynott tallied the only goal of the day for the Diplomats with an assist from Coverdale.

On Saturday the Diplomats dominated Swarthmore, remaining undefeated in the conference, with an 8-0 win after five Diplomats tallied goals on the day.

CC Player of the Week: Erin Coverdale was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Offensive Player of the Week for field hockey, receiving the honor for the second time in her career.

Among CC Leaders: Coverdale's two goals last week gave her the lead among other CC players with 11 goals, she also leads the way with 26 points.  

Goalkeeper Ilianna Santangelo's six goals allowed on the season puts her in first among conference goalies. 

Milestone Watch: Cole ranks 11th in career goals (31). She is also 12th in career points (79). Coverdale now breaks the top-25 in career points, coming in at 24th with 49.Brittany Croll '06 leads the category with 127. Coverdale also comes in tied for 20th with 21 career goals, needed two more to rank 17th. Recording two game-winners so far this season, Cole is now tied for first with record holder Becky Willert '12. Cole has 17 assists to tie her for eighth, while Horsley has 15 to tie for 12th. Eileen O'Reilly '11 leads this category with 35. 

Tallying three defensive saves so far, Schannauer now ranks second (13), with Steph McDonald '13 leading the category at 16. Santangelo entrenched her second place spot with 36 wins, and is now ranks fourth in shutouts with 18, while Laura Cianciulli '82 leads with 30.
