Series History: The No. 9 Diplomats will host Mary Washington, who received votes in the latest top-20 poll, Saturday as their only match in the second week. The Eagles own an 8-6 advantage in the all-time series, but F&M has taken the last three meetings and has not dropped a matchup since 2007. 

Last Game Against Mary Washington: Two goals from Sydney Cole helped the Diplomats beat No. 17 Mary Washington with a 3-2 victory last year on Sept. 10.

Cole got the offense rolling with a goal four minutes into the game. Cole kept up the pressure and notched her second goal two minutes later to extend the lead 2-0. The scoreboard read 2-1 at the end of the first, but a goal from Melanie Consiglio early in the second half increased F&M's lead to 3-1.

Last Week: A long weekend of play saw the Diplomats open the year with an unblemished 2-0 record. In the first game of the 2017 campaign, the Diplomats hosted the Blue Jays and tallied a 3-0 victory for the home opener.

Action continued on Sunday when F&M traveled to Glassboro to face off against Rowan, recording a 2-1 victory for the Diplomats. A back-and-forth contest saw Sydney Cole, scoring the game-winner in the second overtime period.

In the Rankings: F&M enters the second week of play still carrying its No. 9 ranking from the NFHCA preseason poll. Ursinus is the only other CC team ranked at No. 7.

Among the Leaders: Cole ranks among the top of the conference with two goals this weekend, keeping her tied for the first place spot.

Milestone Watch: Cole ranks 12th in career goals (28) and 13th in career points (71). Sunday's game-winner pushed Cole to second and only one goal behind record holder Becky Willert '12, who has 13. Annie Horsley is close to breaking the top-10 needing only one more assist to tie for eighth place. Eileen O'Reilly '12 leads this category with 35.  

Tallying one defensive save so far, Sarah Schannauer is tied for second (10), with Steph McDonald '13 leading the category at 16. Ilianna Santangelo entrenched her second place spot with 31 wins, and now ranks fifth in shutouts, needing only one more to tie for fourth, while Laura Cianciulli '82 leads with 30 shutouts
