Series History: The No. 6 Diplomats welcome No. 15 Mary Washington to town on Saturday, squaring off against their second straight opponent ranked in the top-20 of the coaches poll. The Eagles hold the all-time series lead by an 8-4 margin, however, F&M got the best of Mary Washington last season with a 4-3 win on the road.
Last Week: Three wins in three non-conference games got F&M off to a strong start for the 2015 season. Play began at home against Elizabethtown last Wednesday with a commanding 4-0 blanking of the Blue Jays and the first shutout of goalkeeper Ashley Gubernick's career.

Against No. 20 Rowan on Saturday, Clare Wirth's tally in the 68th minute proved to be the game-winning score as the Diplomats edged the Owls by a 5-4 score in a back-and-forth game. To read the recap, click here.

One Away from 100: With last week's 3-0 start, head coach Melissa Mariano now holds an impressive 99-37 career record and is just one victory shy of becoming the first in program history to win 100. Currently in her eighth season at the helm, she became F&M field hockey's all-time wins leader in 2013. Only six coaches in the history of the Centennial Conference (CC) have reached the impressive milestone.
In the Rankings: The Diplomats remained at No. 6 in the Penn Monto / NFHCA Division III Poll. CC foe Ursinus is close behind F&M at No. 9 and is the only other conference representative. To view the complete top-20, click here.
CC Offensive POTW: Maria Guarisco was named the CC Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for the third time in her career. The senior forward tallied a pair of goals in each of the team's first three games and currently leads the conference with 14 points.
Moving up the Charts: With eight game-winning goals in her career, Guarisco is tied for second on the program's all-time list. Becky Willert '11 holds the record at 13. Guarisco is closing in on the program's all-time assists record, currently placing second with 24. Eileen O'Reilly '10 leads the way with 35. The senior forward continues her ascent up the program's scoring list and is now eighth in goals with 38 and sixth in points with 100 in her career.
Lauren Eastman's name is also among the program's leaders, placing 25th in career goals (17) and fifth in game-winning goals (6).
