Women’s Rowing Opens Spring at St. Mary’s

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Franklin & Marshall's women's rowing team began the spring portion of their schedule on Friday by traveling to compete against St. Mary's College of Maryland.

The Diplomats' Varsity 8+ boat of Lauren Baker (coxswain), Katie Benham (8), Liz Brodie (7), Sam Hershey (6), Katherine Gerber (5), Margaret Stoner (4), Helen Nelson (3), Emily Briggs (2), and Kayleigh Rine (1) was narrowly edged by the Sea Gulls, finishing less than a second behind in the race. F&M concluded the event in 7:14.4 compared to 7:13.5 for St. Mary's.

Due to unsafe weather conditions, the Varsity 4+ race was not able to be held.

The Diplomats return to the water on Saturday, March 30 by traveling to the Washington College Invitational.
