PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's rowing team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday at the annual Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia when a total of five boats took the water for the Diplomats.

In the Championship 8+ event, F&M's First Varsity boat (Emilie MacDonald (coxswain), Paige Alexander (8), Teresa Chappell (7), Annette Von Jaglinsky (6) Katie Benham (5), Milly Herz (4), Allie Christensen (3), Leah Issokson (2), and Casey Siemon (1)) produced an impressive 17th-place finish out of 43 competitors with a time of 17:02.417.
Also competing in the event was boat of Anna Luckiewicz (coxswain), Kendra Gibbs (8), Taylor Baker (7), Alana Brodie (6), Lily Silverman (5), Madeline Cook (4), Sam Hershey (3), Sarah Labovitz (2), and Grace Berg (1), who placed 32nd at 18:30.040.
In the Varsity 4+ competition, Dori Coplan (coxswain), Leah Issokson (4), Annette Von Jaglinsky (3), Allie Christensen (2), and Milly Herz (1) led the Diplomats to a 28th-place showing out of 41 boats with a time of 18:51.656 and ahead of competitors from La Salle, Duquesne and Hofstra.
A pair of Novice boats also took to the water for F&M. In the 8+ race, a boat of Sarah Smith (coxswain), Kristen Beckett (8), Callan O'Neill (7), Isabel Paris (6), Shannon Cunningham (5), Caroline Seiter (4), Marlin Gutierrez (3), Brooke Suddleson (2), and Lauren McPherson (1) recorded a time of 21:11.332, while a boat of Kelly Minard (coxswain), Caroline Noti (4), Mel Browne (3), Kayleigh Rine (2), and Julia Moroz (1) took part in the Novice 4+ event and finished with a time of 23:30.400.
The Diplomats are set to return to the water in the spring.
