PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's women's rowing team competed at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia on Saturday.
A boat of Emilie MacDonald (coxswain), Katherine Cousart (8), Allison Hoffmann (7), Sarah Nelson (6), Teresa Chappell (5), Jillian Goss-Holmes (4), Jessica Radlo (3), Jamie Davidow (2) and Anna Kohler (1) held their own against tough competition in the Championship 8+, placing 17th out of 19 teams with a time of 16:03.71. Fordham finished first at 14:34.29.
In the Novice 8+ event, the Diplomats finished near the middle of the field, as a boat consisting of Katelin Dao (coxswain), Helen Nelson (8), Margaret Stoner (7), Sarabeth Erdman (6), Erin Smith (5), Rebecca McCain (4), Stasia Kuske (3), Emily Chen (2) and Anna Berrettini (1) came in 28th of 44 competitors with a time of 18:55.98.
F&M also featured a boat in the Club 8+ event, when Elisabeth hare (coxswain), Rachel Topper (8), Annette Von Jaglinsky (7), Kathryn Benedetto (6), Caroline Stolfi (5), Addie Irvin (4), Leah Issokson (3), Kathleen Crowell (2) and Katherine Montegna (1) concluded the race at 18:40.01. The University of Pennsylvania paced the pack with a time of 14:52.29.
The Diplomats conclude their fall competition next Saturday at the Head of the Occoquan Regatta in Fairfax Station, Va.
