F&M Wraps up Fall at Head of the Occoquan

FAIRFAX, Va. – Franklin & Marshall's women's rowing team concluded the fall portion of its 2014 schedule by competing at the Head of the Occoquan Regatta on Saturday afternoon in Fairfax, Va.

The Varsity 4+ boat of Alexandra Byrne (cox), Amalia Hack, Carolina Giraldo, Sarah Nelson and Allison Hoffmann provided the Diplomats with their best finish of the day after placing 12th out of 24 teams with a time of 20.15.42. Navy captured the title with a time of 18:45.21, followed by Duquesne in second at 19:28.18. 

Byrne (cox), Katherine Cousart, Giraldo, Nelson, Hoffmann, Hack, Anna Kohler, Kathryn Benedetto and Larissa Kehne competed in the Varsity 8+ for the Diplomats, taking 17th out of 35 boats with a time of 18:53.98. Navy finished first at 17:11.03, followed by Duquesne in second with a time of 17:21.08. 

The Diplomats concluded the fall portion of their schedule with the regatta and will return to competition in the spring.
