Franklin & Marshall enters the week with an overall record of 8-12 and a Centennial Conference (CC) record of 5-10 which places the Diplomats eighth in the CC standings. Muhlenberg, Gettysburg, and Haverford have all clinched playoff spots, leaving the final two spots up for grabs.
Series History: F&M is on the road against Johns Hopkins on Tuesday. The Diplomats look to end an active 10-game winning-streak, but the Blue Jays hold a 21-5 edge when playing in Baltimore.
F&M then travels to McDaniel in hopes of redemption after McDaniel cut short a two-game streak earlier this season. McDaniel holds a 20-3 advantage when hosting the Diplomats.
The Diplomats end the week by hosting Washington College. F&M currently has a five-game winning-streak and a 15-4 advantage when playing at home.
Last Time We Met Johns Hopkins: Hopkins delivered a strong performance from behind the arc to take down the Diplomats 81-59 on Dec. 6, 2017. Kristin Hamill led the Diplomats with 20 points and eight rebounds on the night. Erica Brown followed with 12 points and six rebounds. Cat Weber pulled down eight rebounds and recorded seven points. Last Time We Met McDaniel: McDaniel took home a 67-64 victory over F&M on Dec. 9 earlier this season. Haley Pilone led all scorers with 25 points, going 6-for-10 from behind the arc. Hamill finished with a double-double, tallying 12 points and 10 rebounds. Brown finished the day with 15 points, six rebounds, and two steals. For a full recap, click here.
Last Time We Met Washington: Pilone finished with a career-high 29 points, 14 in the fourth quarter, to lead the Franklin & Marshall comeback over Washington College 61-57 on Jan. 11 earlier this year. Pilone shot 6-for-12 from behind the arc and went five-for-six from the free throw line to lead all scorers with 29. Among the Leaders (CC): Pilone currently ranks first in the CC with a 17.9 points per game average, while her 41.3 percent from behind the arc is good for fourth.
Hamill now ranks second by averaging 16.4 points per game and her 9.3 rebounds per game place her fourth.
Among the Leaders (NCAA): Among Division III players, Pilone's 3.45 three-pointers per game are good for sixth, and Pisani ranks 14th in assists per game, averaging 5.8.
Milestone Watch: Multiple Diplomats now rank in the top-20 in program record categories. Brown places 16th in total career points with 907. Anne Krumrine '90 leads the category with 1,813. Brown also ranks 10th with 608 career rebounds, while Krumrine '90 leads with 1,182.
Pilone comes in at second for made three-pointers in a career with 155. Dana Johns '06 leads the category with 178.
Pisani's 311 career assists place her in second. Sarah Meisenberg '09 leads with 367.
