HAVERFORD, Pa. – Bryan Andrews placed 24th to lead Franklin & Marshall at the 2014 Centennial Conference (CC) Cross Country Championship hosted by Haverford Saturday afternoon. Haverford won the event, taking the top three sports for 21 points followed by Johns Hopkins (48) and Dickinson (74). The Diplomats placed fifth, an improvement from last year's sixth place showing, with 168 points.
Andrews completed the 8k course in 26:32 and Charlie Marquardt from Haverford won the event with a time of 25:30.2.
Luk Olenginski placed 31st out of 100 runners in 26:53.7 while James Hamilton and Greg Olenginski finished 48th and 49th respectively. Hamilton turned in a 27:43.9 and Olenginski crossed in 27:45.8. Michael Whalen took 57th in 28:03.1, Brien Miceli was two spots behind in 59th with a time of 28:05, while Carlton Christie rounded out the top seven at 28:35.2
F&M returns to action on Nov. 15 at the Mid-East Regionals at Big Spring High School. The race is slated for an 11:00 a.m. start.
