Andrews Takes Ninth to Lead Diplomats

SALISBURY, MD. – Bryan Andrews placed ninth to lead the Diplomats to a seventh place finish at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University.  F&M finished with 166 points, while Slippery Rock took the team title with 68 points as the Invite featured 20 teams from all three divisions.  

Andrews finished the 8k course in 25:44.6, not far behind Steve Maine from Kutztown who took the top spot at 25:10.2.  

Luk Olenginski (26.20.6) and Michael Whalen (26:308) placed 28th and 35th respectively out of 168 runners. Greg Olenginski placed 42nd at 26:46.3 while James Hamilton ran 27:03.5 and Brien Miceli (27:45.4) along with J.T. Paganelli (27:49.9) all figured into the team score for F&M. 

John Vallachi (27:52.1), Carlton Christie (28:28) and James Galasso (28:42.9) also competed for the Diplomats.  

F&M returns to action on Oct. 18th at the Gettysburg Invitational.
