LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College 157 lbs. wrestler Mike Parziale (Sr., Woburn, MA/Woburn) competed in the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Star Team 10-day tour of Beijing, China from June 13-22.

Coached by Eastern Michigan University's Charles Branch and Duke University's Clar Anderson, the All-Star team was part of a cultural exchange tour to the site of the 2008 Olympic Games and gave the team six dual-meet opportunities against some of China's toughest freestyle wrestlers.

In addition to wrestling, the coaches and athletes toured China's top historical and cultural sites, including the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, the Imperial Palace and the Forbidden City.

Eastern Michigan's Nick Conklin, Princeton's Jake Butler, Alex Enriquez and Marty Everin, Duke's Frank Cornely, Wyoming's Malcolm Havens, Pittsburgh's Drew Headlee and Ron Tarquino and the Citadel's Sean Markey and Travis Piccard joined Parziale on the tour.

The tour caps off a stellar season for Parziale who finished fifth at 157 lbs. at the 2005 Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Championships at the United States Naval Academy earlier this year.

Overall, he concluded his junior season with a 34-8 record to raise his career mark to 81-26 as he ranks second in single season wins in school history and fourth in career victories.
